Mitch Kaplan: Bio

Mitch Kaplan first started his kids skiing at age two and five respectively. He has been covering skiing and adventure and family travel for more than a decade. His work has appeared in Skiing, Snow Country, Snow Country Business, Ski Resorts, Skier News, Golf Player, Family Circle, Westways and Continental Airlines Magazine among others, and he has authored 52 New Jersey Weekends, The Weekend Athlete's Injury Guide, 535 Wonderful Things to Do This Weekend, the Unofficial Guide to the Mid-Atlantic with Kids and The Golf Book of Lists. Kaplan lives in suburban northern New Jersey with his non-skiing wife, Penny, two now-college-age children who won't empty the nest, and a gorgeous mutt named Callie.
